The flower that shares their name, Yellow Tea Rose Foundation Inc. — the new charitable arm of the Theta Omega Sigma chapter of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority — has roots that go deep.

“Sigma Gamma Rho incorporated was established November 12, 1922, on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis,” said Jessica Lewis, with the local chapter of Gamma Sigma Rho, and President of Yellow Tea Rose Foundation Inc.

Theta Omega Sigma, the Rochester Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority recently established a new charity called the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation, Inc.

The new foundation is established as a 501c3 tax exempt, non-profit organization that serves as the charitable arm of the local chapter with a mission to provide programs and services to the most economically and educationally marginalized members of our community.

” We understand the importance of collective responsibility and how to work together to make a real impact in the communities in which we are from,” explains Jessica Lewis, President.

The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 tax exempt, non-profit organization that serves as the charitable arm of the Theta Omega Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

The Foundation, in collaboration with Theta Omega Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., provides programs and services to the most economically and educationally marginalized members of our community. Through action, education, and service, the foundation seeks to create an equitable Rochester by furthering Sigma Gamma Rho’s motto, “Greater Service, Greater Progress.”
